Whats the difference between a Bush Warrior and a Building Contractor

Image

Building a house is a very significant milestone in anyone’s life be you a high flying multi- millionaire running around Sydney shopping or a blue collar worker grinding through the day, just so he can get home and spend time with his family. No matter what walks of life you come through, building an abode can be a very spiritual and healing experience if you sum up the courage for it.

Anyways I thought the best way to get into the mindset of a Bush Warrior in order to differentiate him was to go on a hike and forget about society with all her snares and balderdash and well the pictures below shows various stages of my journey.

My Camp Site

While writing this post I have just completed a 2 days and a night spent on the cliffs over looking the serene beaches of Kiama, as the wind whispers over the oceans to wake up a sleepy community to the symphony of the sea birds. Right now I just had a very hearty breakfast and its back to continuing my blog.

20 17 16 18 19 22When I think of a building contractor I think of a Roman centurion, he is a person chosen for his size, strength and dexterity in throwing his javelin weapons which could act as a short spear for thrusting and for his skill in the use of his sword and shield; in short for his expertness in all the exercises. He is to be vigilant, temperate, active and readier to execute the orders he receives than to talk; Strict in exercising and keeping up proper discipline among his soldiers, in obliging them to appear clean and well-dressed and to have their arms constantly rubbed and bright. He is a well armored 100kg of Armor ready to be unleashed.

He is brutally efficient as he wades through his foes with superior armor and arms cutting swathes of crimson rivers into his foes. He has been given prehistoric power tools in the form of Shield, armor and Javelin to strike from the heaven before he locks into hand to hand combat with the screaming multitude of barbarians as they crash like waves upon the burnished shield lines of the Centurions commands. He is only concerned with the result of the battle and breaks it down to a simple equation “It either me or my enemy”.

A building contractor is very much similar  he pits himself against nature and tries to mold her into the way he wants it to be, taking into no account her needs or wants. Bulldozers are used to tear down trees that had been a  sentinel over centuries, local animal, plant and microscopic life is just heaved and thrown into a skip unnaturally. There is no re balance to this scarring as he uses his power saws, nail guns and cement mixers and throws a prefabricated box, which he forces us into and makes us call it home. Here is the punch line he calls it a green house alternative simply because he has used timber frames.

But frankly speaking the picture I saw below completely made me understand what happens when man take power even in something simple as a bulldozer he is committing something unnatural over a space of earth which has been lying there over a several spans of years. In that space there maybe an ecology that has thrived for ages and only needs nurturing to let it turn into a piece of art that will act as an abode and welcome you to.

This is where a Bush Warrior differs to a contractor. He is literally pitching his caliber against nurture in order to wrestle her like a lover, to live in harmony and joy. A place where he can be connected to his source. Both physically and spiritually to live a life in contentment, with god and his creations.

We are descendants of people who lived in times when they were spiritual. The early followers of Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism and Hinduism lived communally.

The Christians say “The early Christians lived communally (Acts. 2:44-47).They forsook all their possessions (Lu14:33) and distributed the goods equally among the believers (Acts 4:32-37)

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him when he was invited to Medina to live with among its inhabitants  he settled the longstanding grievances among the tribes of Medina and drafted a document known as the Constitution of Medina,

Islams beginnings were very similiar to the beginning of Christianity. They both shared a turbulent start and fought to instate the freedoms we enjoy today

“establishing a kind of alliance or federation” among the eight Medinan tribes and Muslim immigrants seeking sanctuary from prosecution, which specified the rights and duties of all citizens and the relationship of the different communities in Medina.

It is so sad with all the similarities we have within our faiths that we have to witness so many bloody conflicts. One would think with the shared experience and brutalities our ancestors stood up to in order to keep the spirit of our religions alive today, the simple freedom in being free to worship what one wants to. Our submission is to god and it is none of our business to impose our point of view on anyone.

When thinking of building one should always get into a communal mind set with nature. Always imposing Newtons Law, fairly. “Every action has an equal and opposite reaction”

A Bush Warrior is someone who takes joy in being among-st creation and someone who thinks about the present and how is actions will mold the future of his descendants, this is an act he finds natural because he is standing among-st a space where the Source is right beneath the blessed ground he stands on. Earth is constantly healing call it Science or God’s Gift to us and its only because of the way we as humans defile her. One of the biggest concern is that one day this equation will tip over a point of no return where the source will slow down and eventually stop. If this were to to happen the world our descendants are looking at is very bleak, which is why each step he takes is carefully thought through.

anyways people feels like I got an angry furry panda rampaging around in my head refusing to let me continue writing since I am getting distracted as hell so I will most probably finish this post in the next blog.
